Office 2.0
I've been reading about the Office 2.0 conference that was held in San Francisco last week. (A good way to browse the interesting reports: subscribe to the office2.0 tag in del.icio.us and follow the tags.)
Here is the best definition I've read the term:
Office 2.0: Office productivity environment enabled by online services used through a Web browser. By storing data online and relying on applications provided as Web services, it fosters collaboration and extends mobility, while promoting a user-centric model that fuels innovation and increases productivity. Ismael Ghalim
Through my browsing I have discovered a new 2.0 service that I plan to use here at the Otter Group:
Handling of contracts is certainly a process that could be improved and this looks like a winner. Pricing: Up to 20 agreements: free; up to 1,000 agreements $12.95 per month; unlimited agreements;: $20.00 per month.
