New Slide Show for my weblog
Glen and Aixa have written a new component for slideshows that I am now showing on my blog.
It's a slideshow that is built into the sidebar of the blog. I've
grabbed a few old photos and now you can view them as a slide show by
clicking “On” under the top left photo.
I can imagine a whole bunch of interesting uses for this in
blogs: product shots, customer testimonials, party photos.
It's a great way to bring images to the top level of your blog.
This new slideshow feature also showcases why we have picked Pingware
as our blogging software of choice. With Blogware as the
underlying platform, we can write all kinds of custom components for
specific functions to our blogs. This is the only blogging
package that I know of that is so easily programmable.
